The First Battle of Panipat (1526), fought
between invading forces of Babur and
Ibrahim Lodi which resulted in the beginning of Mughal empire and the end
of Delhi Sultanate.
The Second Battle of
Panipat (1556), in which akbars
regent Bairam Khan defeated Hemu (Raja
Hem Chandra Vikramaditya).
The Third Battle of
Panipat (1761), in which the invading Afghani forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali defeated the army of
the Maratha Empire under Sadashivrao Bhau.
